The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) inaugurated the Indonesian Digitalisation and Cyber Security Association (ADIKSI) on Thursday, October 17 2024.
Vice Chairman of Communications and Informatics at Kadin, Firlie Ganinduto, said that the digital security ecosystem in Indonesia still needs improvement, including through collaboration from various parties to improve cybersecurity.
‘The vision (of ADIKSI) is how we can build a cybersecurity industry in Indonesia. A forum is needed, so that we can jointly provide aspirations to the government and regulators,’ said Firlie.
According to him, with the establishment of ADIKSI, industry players can develop each other's capabilities by collaborating.
Firlie added that this sector needs an ecosystem and cannot live alone, so ADIKSI is expected to receive support from the government in the future.
‘We will ask for support from the next government. Because indeed, this is a need from the industry that needs to be continued to build the cybersecurity industry in Indonesia,’ she concluded.
